As this course would normally be in-person, we have revised the agenda and exercises to teach this course virtually given the current circumstances around COVID-19.
Understand and apply an agile framework for project management – Scrum. This course allows delegates to gain an appreciation of the Scrum framework and how to apply it in their own context. A varied mix of both theory and practical exercises, makes this a popular choice for clients wishing to start a more agile journey towards a high-quality and frequent delivery structure.
This course is aimed at all members of a delivery team, and will introduce the roles and responsibilities within an effective Scrum team with a strong focus of the ScrumMaster role.
We are also including a FREE 60-minute coaching session with our course instructor and Certified Enterprise Coach (CEC), Paul Goddard after the course completes.
The course will be delivered by LIVE video feed and will involve a mix of theory and exercise-based learning. We utilise just two simple (and free) online collaboration tools which you can access during the course.
From our experiences of running online training, we have developed and iterated on a training style to manage both your energy level and attention span! By using self-led exercises and breakout room functionality we aim to ensure you get the most of your online training experience.
Although each course we deliver is slightly different and tailored to our delegates needs and circumstances, the core agenda of the Certified ScrumMaster class set out by Scrum Alliance must include the following:
- What is Scrum?
- Product Backlogs
- Planning in Scrum
- Sprint Backlogs
- Daily Scrums
- The Definition of “Done”
- Scrum Teams
- The ScrumMaster Role
- Estimating
- Prioritisation
- Burndown Charts
To help consolidate the learning in these two days, we also include a FREE 1-hour personal coaching session with the course instructor after the course completes, to make sure any unanswered questions you have are addressed.
Developers, testers, analysts, designers, project managers, product managers etc. Just about anyone involved in product delivery.
As the course is focussed on the ScrumMaster role, people who are intending to take that role on will gain most from this course.
A basic grasp of agile principles may help, but is not essential for this course.
Attending the online version of this course is simple, you just need access laptop/PC with a stable internet connection, audio/video and microphone capabilities.
We will send you a digital version of the course notes which you can print off if you like, but this is not mandatory.
Full details of the tools we use during the course (only with setup instructions) will be sent with your joining instructions shortly before the course date.
